The WMATA C51 (U Street–Anacostia Line, formerly Metrobus 90 and 96) runs along the U Street NW and 18th Street NW corridor across the Calvert Street Bridge to Woodley Park station — one Red Line stop south of Street Lawyer Dispensary at 3400 Connecticut Ave NW, Unit 1 in Cleveland Park. 21+ adult use.

Catch a westbound C51 toward Woodley Park along U St NW in Shaw or the U Street corridor, or at 18th & Calvert St NW in Adams Morgan, and ride across the Calvert Street Bridge to Calvert St & Connecticut Ave NW. Step into Woodley Park station and ride the Red Line toward Shady Grove one stop to Cleveland Park (or catch the D70 bus northbound two stops to Ordway St NW).

Once at Cleveland Park station, take the West Side exit onto Connecticut Ave NW and walk 1.5 blocks south (about 700 feet, past Ordway St NW) to 3400 Connecticut Ave NW, Unit 1, at Newark St NW.

The C51 and C53 run together across U Street, 18th Street, and the Calvert Street Bridge to Woodley Park, giving Adams Morgan and U Street riders double the bus frequency toward Connecticut Ave NW.
