From Columbia Heights, Mount Pleasant, or Brookland, board a westbound C61 toward Tenleytown-AU across Rock Creek Park and get off right after the park at Porter St NW & Connecticut Ave NW. From Tenleytown, McLean Gardens, or Cathedral Heights, board an eastbound C61 down Porter St NW to Connecticut Ave NW.

From Porter St NW & Connecticut Ave NW by Cleveland Park station, turn south on the west sidewalk of Connecticut Ave NW and walk 1.5 blocks (about 700 feet, past Ordway St NW) to 3400 Connecticut Ave NW, Unit 1, at Newark St NW.

For riders in Columbia Heights or Mount Pleasant, the C61 (formerly H2/H4) cuts straight across Rock Creek Park in minutes instead of riding the Green Line downtown to transfer.
